Pam Jones resigned as secretary of the Newport Franco-British Society at the 2020 AGM after serving in this capacity for twenty years. During this time Pam has always played a leading part in the activities of the Society. Every year lectures have had to be chosen and lecturers contacted and hosted. Visits to various exhibitions have been suggested, tickets bought and buses booked. If you look under the History section of this site you will see photos of visits abroad she has organised and on the 50th anniversary of the society she helped organise a music concert.
As treasurer I worked with Pam for 15 years and I was aware of how much time she devoted to the Society and how organised she was in everything she did. She loves taking photos (most of the photos on this site are hers) but always avoided getting into a photo herself. Thank you Pam for all your hard work and long may you remain an active member of the Newport Franco-British Society.
